We have some friends of ours, the Stifflers, that were planning on going home for a long weekend. They needed someone to take care of feeding their fish while they were going. Whenever we go to visit them, they have the coolest fish tank with many different fish and this is where we find Christian. He loves to stand and watch them swim around. So, the other week, we got a phone call from Heather. She was wondering if Christian would like a job. She told him she would pay him to come and take care of her fish on Thursday. He was pretty excited. Heather knew he was having a hard time with Ava getting to go to school so she thought this would be a nice fun activity to make him feel special. Very sweet and it worked.
After he fed the fish, we went over to the table and got the card and the check for him. He was so proud and couldn't believe it was for him. I love how big it made him feel. He enjoyed it so much that he wanted to go back the next day. ;)
